Math:
Please check over your math packet (should have been done on Friday morning) to ensure that you are:

  • checking over work
Science:
Make sure that you completed Cornell Notes on Matter and Energy Topic (this should have been done on Thursday)

Social Studies/Reading/Language Arts:
Please make sure that your biographical essay over your historical figure is complete:
It should have:

Introduction
  • This introduces your person without saying "I am going to tell you about"
  • This is a good place for "Fun Facts" that will entice your reader about your person

4 Paragraphs that answer the questions we brainstormed in class:
  • These can be divided into concept questions: for example,
    • form (what is it like)/function (how does it work)
    • causation (why it is like it is)/perspective (what are points of view)
    • connection (how is it connected to other things)/responsibility (what is responsibility)
    • change (how does it change)
  • or four major components: for example:
    • Early Life (family, education, where they lived, etc.)
    • Profession (what they did as adults)-
    • Role in the American Revolution (beliefs/values)
    • Impact on American Government

Conclusion:
This is a reflection on why you chose this person

Total 6 paragraphs- try to cite sources within paragraphs
Bibliography
Do not use www.... Use easybib.org as guide!

On Thursday, you all started with 10 note facts and you all had 2 1/2 hours on Thursday to take note facts in class

On Friday- you all started with all notefacts completed, and 1 paragraph completed and had 1 hour to write, as well as 1 1/2 to complete bio bottle and/or finish writing/begin typing

I would like these to be typed, but if this is not possible, written in best handwriting!
I did say if you are slow typer, someone could type, not edit, your work

By Monday, January 10th, you must turn in:
  • notefacts (Reading grade)
  • rough draft (SS grade)
  • works cited (SS grade)
  • final copy (Language Arts grade)
